iconoblast is a series of logos. remixed, rehashed and reappropriated. as mass media continues to envelop us, and the marks of the commercial visual lexicon become more ubiquitous, i am challenged to question what higher status trademarked and copyrighted materials actually have. given the legal ramifications of violating such marks, they have become, in a common sense, untouchable. this twisting of purpose and disenfranchising of message is a personal exercise of mine in both appreciation and parody.
